I was attacked by a swan in Scotland
Got away unscathed - but this is the danger of wide angle lenses: I didn’t realize how close, or how BIG, this swan was until it was about 6 inches from me and ready to defend its little…uh…swanlings?

Here’s a bit of trivia…baby swans are cygents (or it can be spelled signets) as a group, pens are females and cobs are males. Weird…apparently it’s related to Latin genus for swan, cygnus. Way more information than you wanted, I’m sure! LOVE this picture, btw! It looks like that swan is just going to jump right out of my computer!!!!
