Dr. Gabriel McClelland, reculsive author and professor of Gabeology

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of shooting the portraits that will run alongside an interview with the world’s leading Gabeologist. Having always considered myself something of an amateur Gabeologist myself, this was a delight.

The maestro was in rare form.

All of those, with the exception of the wide shot of the room, were shot with my 50mm f/1.2. The wide shot was my 24-70 f/2.8. That 50mm…I mean, really. The light is so beautiful, and that lens just seems to wrap it around everything like a cashmere blanket. These photos are exactly the kind of work I like, and want, to do the most.
